Carolyn Facteau, Ph.D.

Carolyn FacteauCarolyn has more than 25 years of consulting experience working with a myriad of organizations and leaders. Her primary areas of expertise include executive assessment, coaching and development, talent management, test and selection procedure development, and test validation. She has worked as a consultant in the Atlanta area for over 10 years. Prior to moving to Atlanta, Carolyn was Director of the Center for Government and Public Affairs at Auburn University, Montgomery, a 20-person university outreach organization that provided human resource consulting services and leadership development training programs to public sector clients. Carolyn received her BA from Auburn University and her Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Tennessee.

Over the past 22 years, Carolyn has consulted with a number of large private and public sector organizations such as United Parcel Service, Prudential, Legg Mason, Assurant Solutions, Lincoln National Life, Wachovia, Tennessee Valley Authority, Alabama Gas Corporation, Alabama Department of Transportation, Auburn University, Jefferson County Personnel Board, Federal Home Loan Bank, Federal Express, and Indiana University. She has also worked with hundreds of leaders in a variety of industries, from front line managers to directors and senior executive team members, assessing their leadership skills and providing feedback and coaching. Dr. Facteau also has served as an expert in Title VII lawsuits and helped companies redesign hiring practices that have been found to be discriminatory.

In addition to her consulting activities, Carolyn has authored or co-authored over 100 technical reports, served on expert panels at professional meetings, presented her research at national conferences and published in peer refereed journals . Carolyn is coauthor of a management text book entitled, “The Challenge of Front-Line Management: Flattened Organizations in the New Economy.”
